OPPOSITES DON’T REALLY ATTRACT
“We are magnetically drawn to someone just like us — in the ways that really count — the ways that eventually can cause us the most difficulty.”

We are attracted to the familiar. Familiar ideologies, familiar habits. Well, people are attracted to opposites sometimes romantically research has shown they don’t often marry them. Google for yourself :)

But failure is a part of life, we have all failed. We need to change the way we perceive failure in business, not just that we also need to be comfortable talking about our failures our lessons learned and the emotional experience. Let’s fail Mindfully!

BOOK OF THE WEEK: WILLFUL BLINDNESS: WHY WE IGNORE THE OBVIOUS AT OUR PERIL BY MARGARET HEFFERNAN
Willful blindness is a legal concept which means if there’s information that you could know and you should know but you somehow manage not to know, the law deems that you’re willfully blind. You have chosen not to know. There’s a lot of willful blindness around these days. Willful blindness in relationships, your friends and family can see why that person isn’t good for you but can see it too but you turn a blind eye until the axe falls. There is Will blindness in business as well. It’s everywhere, how do we understand it and prevent ourselves from being in it that’s what this book is about.
Don’t wanna read the book? Here’s Margaret’s TED Talk on it https://www.ted.com/talks/margaret_heffernan_the_dangers_of_willful_blindness
