Hi, this is another edition of “For Value Sake”. A weekly post, it contains a few articles, a book recommendation and a TED talk. These are the most impressionable resources I consumed during the week, and share them so you can reap some value as I did. The only goal is to add value.
It’s December, one of the most important times of the year because of two things : Reviews of the year and Projections for next year. Over the past few years, I have sent out a toolset (GYPD — Get Your Purpose Done) to friends and fam to help with reviewing and planning. Keep your eyes open, I’ll send out the toolset for 2019 soon.

THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE ZUCKERBERG EMPIRE
“Facebook … helps you get into fights? Delivers your old classmates’ political opinions to your brain?”
I dunno how many of you would enjoy this piece, maybe my business contacts on this list. It’s a deep dive on Facebook’s current regulatory problems and their perceived “down falling”. We all have a facebook account it won’t hurt to know that their world might come crashing, maybe. At the end of the day, these are all OpEds.

YOUR LIFE STRATEGY
“For extraordinary results, you need an extraordinary approach. For an extraordinary life, you need an extraordinary strategy.”
So as the year is rounding up, we need to make time and take stock of our life. As I was looking at my metrics document and refining what metrics to start measuring I came across this awesome bit on building a life strategy. Superb!

INSIGHT — HOW TO LAND ON MARS
One of my big dreams in life is to build a space company. Maybe go die in Mars or something. Elon’s plan is to make send a team to Mars in 2024. Hopefully, by then, I would have built some traction in life to launch on this dream. This is ultimately why I loved this piece about InSight, the second drone ever to land on Mars last week.

[TED TALK OF THE WEEK:
THE RADICAL POSSIBILITIES OF MAN MADE DNA](https://www.ted.com/talks/floyd_e_romesberg_the_radical_possibilities_of_man_made_dna#t-522595)
We all watch those movies of a futuristic world where humans can reprogram how other humans work. Well, don’t hold your breath for too long. Human’s are remaking DNAs. Our human DNA has 4 alphabets, just like there are 26 alphabets in the English language. Floyd talks about how they created the first non 4 letter DNA.

BOOK OF THE WEEK: REDQUEEN, SEX AND EVOLUTION OF HUMAN NATURE
I haven’t quite finished this one. Deep, technical, evolutionary biologist jargon-filled. Would definitely be too complex for the shallow minded.
I realized that I actually have never read anything on evolution, so I curated the best reads on evolution. This is one of them.
It asks a ton of questions as to the use of sex in evolution, couldn’t the human race have been asexual? Why gender? or why 2 genders?
I don’t quite believe in the ideology of evolution by natural selection, I still believe in the part of a creator.
But it helps to understand the details and the complexities of human existence from a biological perspective.

That’s it for the week! Thanks for reading!
If you want the book, holla and I’ll send you an e-copy.
